Producting quality compost is very important to us.
Composting regulations focus on three important aspects:
1. that the composting process is done in an environmentally sustainable manner.
2. that the composting process will kill potential pathogens and weed seeds.
3. that the compost product is safe to use
Using compost for organic food production requires documentation that the composting process is done correctly. The new International Good Agricultural Practice guidelines also require documentation on compost use for edible crop production, especially if compost or organic fertilizer is applied within 120 days of harvest.
We are currently not producing products that are approved for organic use - we are working on providing these products again in the future.
